The Judas Project

The Judas Project

The groundbreaking film that dared to pose the question, “What if Jesus Christ were to appear among mankind today for the first time?”
—Back Cover of DVD Keep Case

Set against the backdrop of a modern world, The Judas Project depicts the momentous series of events surrounding the last three years in the life of Christ. Featuring stirring special effects from multiple Academy Award® winners Richard Edlund and Industrial Light & Magic's Ben Burtt, this inspirational and thought-provoking film is certain to touch the life of every viewer profoundly.

Rather than facing the Biblical foes that Jesus of Nazareth faced 2000 years ago, Jesse, the Christ-like figure of this allegorical film, is confronted by the political, intellectual, and pseudo-religious figures of modern society who try to manipulate, control, and destroy him.

“For Everyone Who Has Ever Wished For A Miracle”
—Front Cover of DVD Keep Case

The Judas Project is a modern-day story steeped in ancient roots with an appeal that is eternal.

“Enter ye in at the strait gate: For wide is the gate, and broad is the way, which leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.”
       —Matthew 7:13, 14

As a modernistic allegorical representation of the man known as Jesus of Nazareth, The Judas Project asks and seeks to answer the question, “What if the Son of God were born into the world in which we currently live? Would He prove more acceptable, would He be more welcome, than He was in ancient Palestine? Would He be joyously and reverentially received by this world's leaders, politicians, pastors, and priests? Would He be proclaimed the King of Kings, the Almighty God, worthy of absolute devotion, adoration, fealty, and service? Would He be so received by you? Would you be willing to forsake all that is of this world, this flesh, that you may, in truth, follow Him? Would you die for He who so willingly died for you? Or, alas, would that profound uneasiness born of doubt and fear place you among those shouting, ‘Stone Him!’”

  • The photographic representations of "The Judas Project," which are displayed in various locations throughout this site, were effected by means of a FujiFilm FinePix 2800 Zoom digital camera with a resolution setting of 640 x 480 pixels. Although we craved and, therefore, experimented with higher resolutions, the resulting page load times proved insufferable to all but the most resolute of our visitors.
