Handcrafted Avon Tall Ships Stein
Depicting,
via raised motifs, a fleet of tall ships sailing into harbor, this exquisite Avon
Stein of artistically complementary hues, tints, and gradations of beige, brown,
and burgundy is one of a limited series of strikingly unique Steins handcrafted in
Brazil by CERAMARTE exclusively for Avon Products. Created in 1977, the beauty
and detail of this stately 8 1/2" lidded stein are truly remarkable.
In raised design along the circumference of
this stein's base are the words "Schooner, Brigantine, Staysail, Bark, Barkentine,
Jib-Headed Ketch," while on the underside of the base is written, " Handcrafted
in Brazil exclusively for Avon Products Inc., 1977" and stamped in gold is "#593271."
|
Although twenty-nine years have passed since its
creation, the condition of this stein is impeccable. Seemingly untouched by the
flow of time, the intricate designs and delicate patterns which bespeak the
craftsmanship of this visually stunning work remain a testimonial to the talent,
pride, and commitment to excellence of its creator.
While it would be the rare individual indeed who
could fail to appreciate and admire the beauty and excellence of this singular piece,
it is the collector—the connoisseur—with whom this elegant stein
would be most at home.1

Notes:
|
- The photographic representations of the "Handcrafted Avon Tall Ships
Stein," which are displayed in various locations throughout this site, were
effected by means of a FujiFilm FinePix 2800 Zoom digital camera with a resolution
setting of 640 x 480 pixels. Although we craved and, therefore, experimented with
higher resolutions, the resulting page load times proved insufferable to all but
the most resolute of our visitors.

our abilities, endeavored to ensure that all descriptions, depictions,
representations, and measurements are honest, accurate, and unabridged. Utilizing
fully the resources and equipment available to us, extensive and exhaustive
research has been conducted on each object listed. While we cannot guarantee that
absolute precision has been attained, we certify, with neither hesitation nor
reservation, that our very best efforts have been expended in an attempt to
realize this paradigm.
